The #1 Success Secret of All Time
From time to time I receive correspondence from individuals with questions and concerns about their own individual prospects for personal and/or monetary success. The concerns from one request to the next are usually very similar...
"...How can a person like me who lives in an area like I do, with no opportunities around, achieve financial success?" or "All of the good opportunities have been taken by someone else, what can I do?"
"What is the secret to success?" "What am I missing?"
Too many of us believe that all our problems and all our desires can immediately be resolved if we can just find that one all-important success secret. If we can just find the secret to all our monetary problems! If we can just find the secret to personal success! If we could just find the secret to relationship and family success!
Think about it. Haven't you at some point in your life searched for that one all-important, all-encompassing success secret that would bring you the life of your dreams? Are you searching now?
What is it? Where can it be found? Does it even exist?
First, I want to alleviate your concerns and let you know that it does exist!
Next, you should know that it can only be found in you!
Last, I'll gladly share with you what it is. The #1 success secret of all time is determination and persistence!
Overly simple? Maybe...
Not the insightful revelation you were hoping for? Most likely...
Basic but with implications that run a mile deep? Absolutely!
Walt Disney originally coined the term "Stick-to-it-ivity." It means to have the attitude of resolve to the point that you refuse to relinquish your ultimate dreams until you have lived to see their successful completion.
Disney was a dreamer who had to persevere through many gigantic obstacles... he suffered numerous bankruptcies before he ever found his fortune, but he never relinquished his desire to build his own personal empire.
Determination and persistence...
...They require a "Burning Why" to be effective. Any dream or goal without a "Burning Why" is bound to be a failure because it can not inspire the determination and persistence to see it to completion.
You need to find your "Burning Why." A "Burning Why" is the burning reason why you want something. It may be that you want financial independence so that you can spend more time with your children. Maybe your "Burning Why" to become a film star is a desire to have the loving adoration of fans all over the world. Maybe it is to see the world become a more peaceful and happy place.
It's different for everyone. Your "Burning Why" is unique to you. No one has the same exact reason for desiring success. And no one should.
As soon as you have found your own, then your determination to persevere until you have what you desire is the single most important factor in your eventual success.
I recommend several programs that teach the principles of success because I believe that success is a byproduct of many factors... You should learn all of the principles of success, but realize that none are more important than your own determination and persistence. And no success secret can instill that in you... it must come from within.
Stop looking for that all-important new tip that will finally lead you to success. Do this:
1. Take stock of where you are now.
2. Decide where you eventually want to be.
3. Learn the principles of success from trusted books and programs... this is an ongoing process.
4. But most importantly, discover your own "Burning Why" and get out there and pursue your dream with the determination and persistence to achieve it!
"...Nothing to it, but to do it!"
To Your Success,
Joel S. Nelson has spent years studying the power of the subconscious mind and the science of success. He believes that growing up we were taught the wrong things about success and personal achievement by our parents, in school, and on T.V. and that society perpetuates those misconceptions. Joel's goal is to reverse the damage done by bringing the science of achievement to one million people by the year 2020. http://www.harvestyourmind.com/newsletter.html
